We are open Wednesday to Sunday (every day during school summer holidays) for counter service or takeaway from 10am to 3.00pm (9am to 3.30pm Sundays), offering barista coffee and other hot and cold drinks, delicious cakes, ice cream, chocolate, crisps, biscuits and other snacks. Hot pasties, sausage rolls and sandwiches are available at lunchtimes.

The Café Lido as well as the Pool is run by Portishead Pool Community Trust, a volunteer led organisation, and the Café is run by supervisors assisted by a team of enthusiastic volunteers – we are always looking for more by the way! 

Our ethos is to be an inclusive café and to offer a variety of drinks and snacks, ice creams, cakes, sandwiches and hot snacks, as well as pool related merchandise. We aim to provide quality products at affordable prices to suit a range of tastes.

The Café is now using to recyclable/compostable cups and containers for our takeaway service.

The Café is partly run by volunteers, although we also employ supervisors and provide work experience for young people and adults with special needs to gain valuable life skills. As always though, we need lots of volunteers to help keep this wonderful community facility running, so if you can spare a few hours for an occasional or regular shift please contact us on cafemanager@portisheadopenairpool.org.uk
