Mamma Mia 2 at the Pool is a Sellout!

We are excited to announce our first ever open air cinema event on Friday 7 September with a special screening of this summer’s latest blockbuster Mamma Mia 2.

In association with the Curzon Cinema and the Torch Theatre Sunset Cinema, the Pool terraces will provide the perfect location to watch the movie when the sun sets.

Tickets were released on Friday 27 July and sold out in 48 hours, with the Curzon website struggling to cope with the high demand at times.  We expected the event to be popular, but we were amazed to sell out so quickly.  We are sorry if people were disappointed to miss out, but if things go well on the night, we will definitely be doing this again next year!

The performance is part of a three day event organised by the Curzon Cinema.  As well as Mamma Mia 2 at the Pool there will be open air screenings also taking place at the Salthouse Fields in Clevedon.  The Greatest Showman will be shown on Thursday 6 and Jaws on Saturday 8 September.  Tickets available online and from the box office at the Curzon.

The performance will go ahead whatever the weather, and will only be cancelled in the event of high winds.  Doors open from 7pm and the film will start about 8.30pm depending on the light conditions.  Seating will be on the terraces, so please bring a cushion or a blanket to sit on (no portable chairs please).  There is limited space for wheelchairs or guests with mobility problems so please let us know in advance of your needs if possible and we will try to accommodate you.   You will be able to buy burgers and hot dogs from our BBQ, and the bar will be open from 7pm as will the tuck shop where you can stock up on sweets, soft drinks, ice cream and popcorn.  Food and drinks sales will close for the performance for safety reasons but the bar and tuckshop will re-open after the screening in case you fancy a sneaky prosecco to round off the evening.

Please help us make this Mamma Mia 2 screening a night to remember – Seventies style, Abba costume, sing and dance along – we positively encourage it!
