The Portishead Open Air Pool is operated by teams of volunteers, with paid staff providing life guard and management cover.

DonatingYour open air pool is funded by swimming revenue, volunteers' fundraising and by donations. We would love to hear from you if you would like to make a single or regular donation to the Charitable Trust. Your donation will help towards developing the pool for generations to come and making it a better facility for the community. No matter how small, your donation will help. You can send a cheque, made payable to Portishead Pool Community Trust, to Andrew Butland, Finance Director, c/o 85 Brampton Way, Portishead, BS20 6YT, or by BACS payment direct into the Trust's account. Details can be provided by emailing andrewppct@gmail.com.
If you are a UK taxpayer, by signing a Gift Aid form, for every £1 donated, the Trust can claim up to 28p. Forms are available to download here.
Become a Member of the TrustThe Trust would like supporters of the pool to become Members of the Trust.
There are two categories of membership: a £10.00 Annual Membership, and a Founder Membership of £250.00. The Founder Membership confers lifetime membership of the Trust, and will help the Trust raise some much needed funds during the first years as a community-run organization, as the Trust repair and improve the pool. As a Member, you will have:
- the right to vote,
- the right to stand for election to the committee,
- the right to have a real say in the future direction of the pool now it has been saved.

Become a volunteerWe need volunteers to help with tasks to keep the pool open. Although the pool manager and life guarding staff are paid, we rely on volunteer help for the reception desk, some cleaning and maintenance tasks and for office administration. If you can spare any time at all, please let us know by filling in this form or contact Ann on 0781 309 5126 for more information.
Thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of volunteers we were able to cover reception throughout last season. For 2010, as well as covering reception, we will need volunteers to serve in the refreshment kiosk.
