The Portishead Open Air Pool is operated by teams of volunteers, with paid staff providing life guard and management cover.
Become a Member of the TrustThe Trust would like supporters of the pool to become Members of the Trust.
There are two categories of membership: a £10.00 Annual Membership, and a Founder Membership of £250.00. The Founder Membership confers lifetime membership of the Trust, and will help the Trust raise some much needed funds during the first years as a community-run organization, as the Trust repair and improve the pool. As a Member, you will have:
- the right to vote,
- the right to stand for election to the committee,
- the right to have a real say in the future direction of the pool now it has been saved.

Book yourself a job!We are now working to fill the volunteer rota from 1st May, when the pool opens to the public. We particularly need volunteers to work on the reception desk, selling tickets and dealing with enquiries. The day is split into 2 hour shifts, and we'd like two people per shift. To book yourself a shift, please go to: http://www.supersaas.com/schedule/PortisheadOpenAirPool/Volunteer_Work.

Although the pool manager and life guarding staff are paid, we rely on volunteer help for the reception desk, some cleaning and maintenance tasks and for office administration. If you can spare any time at all, please let us know by filling in this form or contact Ann on 0781 309 5126 for more information.
Thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of volunteers we were able to cover reception throughout last season. For 2010, as well as covering reception, we will need volunteers to serve in the refreshment kiosk.
