Declaration

I wish to be a volunteer to help Portishead Pool Community Trust to refurbish and repair the Open Air Pool and to run the facility. I am happy to commit to a minimum of two hours on any shift. I understand this is not a contractual obligation and is based on the freewill giving of my time, skills and labour to a community project for no remuneration.

If rostered to assist in a front line post, meeting the public, I agree to being part of a team consisting of both paid employees and volunteers and to take direction from the Pool Manager or appointed supervisors in particular with regard to health, safety and fire regulations. I will agree times and dates with the respective Team Leaders and will attend at those times. If unable to attend I will contact the Team Leader to advise giving as much notice as possible.

As a volunteer, I agree with the mission statement of the Trust, in that it exists to run the Pool for all sections of the community, all ages, races and nationalities and for those of any or no religion, any gender, sexual orientation, ability (both physical and learning) and to promote inclusive fun, enjoyment and health in a clean, safe and secure environment for the benefit of paying customers and the community as a whole by giving good customer service and a welcome to all.
